Privacy Policy
How we collect and use information, including data involved in the Google Business Profile integration under development.

Busy Season (“we,” “us”) — a sole proprietorship operated by Hayden Russell — runs busyseason.io and the Busy Season software. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, when service providers process it, and the choices available to our business customers.
1. Information we collect
- Account and contact information — name, business name, email, phone number, billing details, and information provided during onboarding or support.
- Customer and job information a business provides — customer contact information, job-completion events, suppression records, and related message history used to operate review-request workflows.
- Connected-service information — information made available by services a business chooses to connect, including its CRM. The optional Google Business Profile integration is under development and is described in Section 3.
- Website and product usage information — basic device, diagnostic, security, and privacy-respecting analytics information used to operate and improve the service.
2. How we use information
- To set up and operate SMS review-request workflows after eligible completed jobs.
- To apply suppression, deduplication, and opt-out controls.
- To monitor reviews, prepare merchant reply drafts, publish merchant replies under an explicitly authorized workflow, and show reputation and local-search reporting.
- To provide support, process billing, secure the service, troubleshoot problems, and comply with law.
3. Google Business Profile integration
Busy Season is developing an optional integration with Google Business Profile. This integration is not currently available to customers. When released, a business will choose whether to connect its Google account and authorize the requested access.
With that authorization, Busy Season may access the business’s account and location information, customer reviews and existing merchant replies, and Business Profile performance metrics. Busy Season will use this information to display the connected business’s profile information, monitor reviews, draft merchant replies, publish merchant replies only under a workflow the business has explicitly authorized, and report performance to that business. Busy Season will not create or publish customer reviews.
Connecting Google will not by itself enable merchant reply publishing. Busy Season will publish merchant review replies only after the business has provided explicit digital authorization for the selected reply workflow. The business will be able to change that workflow, withdraw authorization, or disconnect Google access. Authorization to publish merchant replies is not authorization to create or publish customer reviews.
Content received through the Google Business Profile APIs will be stored securely, only in limited amounts needed to improve integration performance, and for no more than 30 calendar days. It will then be deleted or refreshed. Busy Season will not manipulate or aggregate stored Google Business Profile API Content.
This 30-day limitation applies specifically to Content received through the Google Business Profile APIs. Information obtained independently from other providers may be retained under the other terms described in this Privacy Policy and will not be represented as Google Business Profile API Content.
When released, if AI-assisted reply drafting is enabled, the text of a customer review and limited business context may be sent to a contracted AI model provider to generate a proposed merchant reply. Database, application-infrastructure, authentication, and AI service providers may process Google user data only as necessary to deliver the user-facing features the business requested and as disclosed in this Privacy Policy. These disclosures do not promise that service-provider processing is zero-retention; any temporary storage of Google Business Profile API Content remains subject to the 30-day limitation above.
Busy Season will not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, use one business’s Google user data to benefit another business, or use it to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
Before this integration is released, Busy Season will provide a way for a connected business to disconnect Google access. Once the integration is available, a business will also be able to revoke access through Google Account permissions. Disconnecting or revoking access will stop future access and begin removal of temporarily stored Google Business Profile API Content, subject to the 30-day limit above. A business may also request deletion by emailing hello@busyseason.io.
Busy Season’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. SMS and text messaging
Busy Season sends review-request text messages on behalf of business customers to eligible past or current customers based on information and instructions supplied by that business. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.
- Suppression records are maintained so opted-out numbers are not intentionally contacted again.
- Mobile opt-in information is not shared with third parties for their own marketing.
5. Security and account separation
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service. Access to business data is limited to the account, authorized personnel, and service providers that need it to perform their contracted work. No security method is perfect, and we cannot promise absolute security.
6. Other sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that operate the product, when a business directs us to do so, to investigate abuse or protect the service, to comply with law, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate protections and notice where required. If Google user data is involved, the specific limits in Section 3 control over this general description.
7. Access, correction, deletion, and disconnection
To request access, correction, export, or deletion, or to ask a privacy question, email hello@busyseason.io. We may need to verify the requester’s authority over the business account. After the Google Business Profile integration is released and a business connects it, the business will also be able to disconnect or revoke Google access using the methods described above.
8. Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the “last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
